Wuthering Waves has its quirks: the Beginner Banner already guarantees a 5★ within 50 pulls, so the question isn't "can you reroll" but "is it worth the time?" This guide answers that, ranks reroll targets, and walks through the fastest reroll method.

Is rerolling worth it in WuWa?

Short answer: only mildly. Three reasons WuWa makes rerolling less rewarding than other gachas:

The Beginner Banner guarantees a 5★ within 50 pulls at a 20% discount. Even a fresh account is going to hand you a Standard 5★ within ~3 hours of play. So the only thing rerolling buys you is which Standard 5★ — not whether you have one.
Limited 5★ characters cannot be rerolled into the Beginner Banner. The Beginner Banner is Standard-pool only. So you can't reroll for Changli or Shorekeeper directly.
Account binding happens early. Once you bind Google / Apple / Kuro account, the account is locked. You'd need a fresh login each reroll.

That said, rerolling does let you pick your favorite Standard 5★ instead of taking RNG. If you're picky about who your starting DPS is, ~60-90 minutes of rerolling is reasonable.

How long does a WuWa reroll take?

Per reroll attempt:

Tutorial speed-run: 25-35 minutes (cannot be skipped)
Claim mail + login rewards: 5 minutes
Pull the Beginner Banner first 10: 1 minute
Decide outcome and reset if needed: instant

So ~30-40 minutes per reroll attempt. With Standard 5★ being a coin-flip between 5 characters, on average you'll reroll 3-5 times for an S-tier pick (Verina or Encore). Plan for 2-3 hours total.

Step-by-step reroll process

Step 1: Set up a throwaway account

Don't use your real Google/Apple/Kuro account. Options:

Create a burner email and use the Kuro account system
Use Guest mode on mobile (caveat: progress can be lost unexpectedly)
Use multiple Kuro accounts (allowed — just rotate)

Step 2: Race the tutorial

Speed tips:

Skip all cutscenes (top-right Skip button)
Choose dialogue options without reading
Stay close to enemies — quicker fights
Set the game to lowest graphics for fastest loads
Use PC client over mobile if possible — ~30% faster loads

You'll exit the tutorial around Adventure Rank 3 with ~40-50 free pulls' worth of currency in your mailbox.

Step 3: Claim everything

Open Mail. Claim:

Pre-registration rewards (if event is active)
Compensation mail (frequent — Kuro sends Astrites for every patch issue)
Daily/weekly login bonuses

Step 4: Pull the Beginner Banner only

Do not pull on the limited character banner. Why? Because limited 5★ rates are 0.8% with 80 hard pity — you won't get one in 50 pulls. Stick to Beginner Banner where you're guaranteed a Standard 5★ in 50 pulls.

Stop pulling as soon as your 5★ drops. Note which character.

Step 5: Evaluate and reset (or stop)

Got S-tier (Verina / Encore)? Stop. Bind to your real account, claim done.
Got A-tier (Calcharo / Jiyan)? Acceptable — decide if you want to risk another reroll for S-tier.
Got B / C-tier? Reroll. Sign out, delete local account, restart.

You plan to spend money — the Beginner Banner is the worst pulls-per-dollar deal in the game; only worth it as your starter

After your reroll: what's next?

Once you've locked in a satisfying Standard 5★ and bound your account, follow these steps:

Complete the rest of the Beginner Banner's 50 pulls (you keep the 20% discount)
Save remaining Astrites — do not pull on the standard banner anymore

Does the Beginner's Choice 5★ count for rerolling?

The Beginner's Choice selector lets you pick one Standard 5★ from a limited list after a few hours of play. This replaces reroll necessity for many players — if you can choose Verina or Encore for free, rerolling for the same character is redundant.

Will I get banned for rerolling?

No. Kuro Games has not banned anyone for rerolling, and creating multiple Kuro accounts is allowed by their ToS. Don't use fake info though — use real email addresses you control.
