Somnoire: Night City is the dreamscape area at the heart of Wuthering Waves 3.4's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration — a neon "Sonoro" version of Night City manifested inside the Lahai-Roi dreamscape. How to unlock Somnoire: Night City

Night City opens up once you've progressed the main story into the Lahai-Roi region. From there you reach it through the Sonoro Gate inside Startorch Academy: follow the Lahai-Roi side story, take the Waveline lead from Mornye to the Spacetrek Collective, then return to Startorch Academy and step through the Somnoire door with the red glow. The collaboration episode tied to the area is "At Dream's Edge." No specific Union Level gate has been published — story progress to Lahai-Roi is the real requirement.

What's inside Night City

Night City is built around Cyberpunk-style hacking gameplay rather than the usual climbing-and-gliding exploration. The main activities:

  • 15 Vending Machines across Cherry Blossom Market — quickhack each one for Pull Tabs (the area's currency) and resources.
  • 13 Breach Protocol puzzles in Cherry Blossom Market — solve the hacking minigame for more Pull Tabs.
  • Hacking terminals, cameras and locks — you'll need the Quickhack Module unlocked to clear the related achievements.
  • The new featured Resonators Lucy and Rebecca are tied to the area's story.
ℹ️ Unlike a normal open-world region, Night City has no exclusive local specialties or farmable open-world Echoes. The only new gear from the collab — the Shadow of Shattered Dreams echo — comes from the Adam Smasher boss, not from gathering in the city.

All 16 treasure chests

Night City has 16 Treasure Chests total:

  • 15 in Cherry Blossom Market — roughly 2 near the entrance, 2 around the restaurant building, 5 along the market's left/right stalls, and 6 across the circular park's upper floors.
  • 1 special supply chest on the Moon ("Illusion's End") — named "Untitled 18 - Brancesi, 2021," tucked behind a buggy near the lunar radome at your spawn point. Opening it grants a collectible and the "Space Oddity" trophy.

The Adam Smasher boss

The collab's marquee fight, Nightmare: Adam Smasher, is reached through a Somnoire Door near Etching Plains (in the wider Lahai-Roi region) after you complete "At Dream's Edge," or early via Guidebook → Material Collection → Boss Challenge. He fights on Nightmare difficulty using a Sandevistan implant, has no elemental weakness (his weakness is the Hack-Shifting status that Lucy and Rebecca apply), and drops the new echo set. Shadow of Shattered Dreams echo set

The boss drops Reminiscence: Nightmare Adam Smasher, a 4-Cost Overlord Echo and the sole member of the Shadow of Shattered Dreams sonata set. Its single 1-piece effect: inflicting Hack-Shifting grants +35% Basic Attack and Heavy Attack DMG for 15s. There is no 2-piece or 5-piece bonus — the one echo is the whole set, built specifically for Lucy and Rebecca.

Collab rewards worth grabbing

  • Free 5★ Rebecca (Havoc) via the Instant Flashlight collab login event.
  • 300 Astrite version compensation, plus more from the collab event chain and login rewards.
  • Collab cosmetics — a chat bubble, chat background, title and a music track, plus character accessories for Lynae and Mornye.
  • 7 hidden trophies (each ~5–20 Astrite): Thank You, My Twilight; I Really Want to Stay At Your House; Space Oddity; Marquee Moon; User Friendly; Chippin' In; and The City Never Lets Me Down.

Does Night City stay after the collab?

The area itself looks permanent — it remains accessible after the "At Dream's Edge" quest, and the Adam Smasher boss living there points to it staying past 3.4. The limited-time collab events, however, run only through 2026-07-09 (3.4 is a shortened ~32-day version that began 2026-06-08), so finish the time-gated event rewards before then.
